1. Agreement & Terms Acceptance
By accessing or using MechToolsHub (https://mechtoolshub.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use our web applications, engineering calculators, reference datasets, or APIs.
2. Intellectual Property & Software Usage
Unless otherwise stated, MechToolsHub and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material, UI designs, algorithms, code libraries, and documentation on MechToolsHub. All intellectual property rights are reserved.
- Permitted Use: You may use our calculators, view formula cards, copy generated step-by-step reports, and print calculation summaries for your professional mechanical design work, personal study, or academic research.
- Prohibited Use: You must not republish material from MechToolsHub, sell, rent, or sub-license material, or scrape our datasets for bulk commercial re-distribution without explicit written permission.
3. Professional Engineering Judgment & Disclaimer of Liability
The calculation tools, reference datasets (e.g. ISO 898-1 fastener stress areas, VDI 2230 tightening torques, ISO 281 bearing dynamic ratings), and formulas provided on MechToolsHub are intended as educational and preliminary design references.
Calculations provided by MechToolsHub DO NOT replace licensed professional engineering judgment, rigorous physical testing, or official standard documentation checks. Physical mechanical assemblies (fasteners, pressure vessels, transmission shafts, structural beams) operate under real-world fatigue, thermal, and environmental conditions that require certified engineering review.
In no event shall MechToolsHub, its creators, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our software calculations.
4. User Accounts & Workspace Data (Prepared for Future Integration)
If you register an account or save project calculation snapshots to our workspace (prepared for future workspace integration), you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the service with or without prior notice.
5. Modifications & Governing Law
